Position Summary:
The Tree Groundperson plays a vital role in supporting our tree crews by preparing job sites, operating equipment, and ensuring a safe and efficient workflow on the ground. This is an ideal position for someone who enjoys working outdoors, is eager to learn, and wants to advance in arboriculture.
Responsibilities:
- Assist climbers and crew leaders with ground operations for tree removals and pruning
- Load brush and wood into chippers and operate safely
- Use chainsaws and hand tools to process limbs and logs
- Set up and break down job sites, including traffic and pedestrian control
- Maintain equipment and tools in clean, working condition
- Follow all safety protocols and wear proper PPE
- Communicate clearly and work as part of a professional tree crew
Requirements:
- Prior experience in tree care, landscaping, or outdoor labor preferred
- Willingness to work in physically demanding outdoor conditions
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly
- Valid Driver’s License preferred
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-minded
- Desire to grow into climbing or crew leadership roles
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus but not required
