Estimator/Consultant/Operations
Location: San Francisco Bay Area
Salary: $82 - $135k, base salary
Job Title: Consulting Arborist, Estimator, and Manager
Reports to: Founder and Regional President
Compensation: $82,000 - $135,000 base salary + bonus (not included in this number)

We are currently seeking a Consulting Arborist/Estimator skilled in both tree health diagnostics, report writing and business development. You will use your arborist expertise to provide premium consultation services and create effective estimates for our varied services. Roles and Responsibilities:
Arborist Consulting / Sales / Estimating:
- Offer expert consultations on tree species identification, health assessments, and local regulations, backed by regional vegetation expertise
- Be proficient in Report Writing and permit acquisitions. Conduct thorough on-site evaluations for accurate cost estimates of diverse arborist services
- Drive sales through lead generation, effective client interactions, and crafting compelling proposals
- Utilize keen negotiation skills to secure contracts and articulate value propositions
- Prioritize customer relationships, ensuring satisfaction and fostering opportunities for repeat business
Additional Duties:
- Manage and equip crews with the necessary tools and PPE, assign daily tasks at job sites, and help conduct morning safety and priority briefings
- Oversee equipment inventory, maintain it, and coordinate with suppliers for repairs and rentals
- Support scheduling efforts, assist with invoicing and open estimates, and participate actively in strategic planning sessions
- Recommend operational improvements to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Degree in Arboriculture, Urban Forestry, Horticulture, or related field (highly preferred)
- A minimum of three years of work experience in arboriculture or horticulture
- ISA Certified Arborist or able to obtain an ISA Certified Arborist credential within 3 months of hiring
- Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and Adobe products
- Able to work independently and cooperatively within a team
- Valid driver’s license with a clean Motor Vehicle Record
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are highly preferred
