TreeBaltimore Administrator – City Forestry Supervisor

Baltimore City is seeking to fill this permanent, full-time position critical to the success of its community forestry efforts. It leads the City’s tree planting program for all agencies and non-profit organizations, and ensures Baltimore continues toward its goal of 40 percent tree canopy cover by 2037. It also includes input into the Department of Recreation and Parks management of natural forested areas, it oversees the TreeKeepers volunteer certification program and other community engagement efforts, and is responsible for leading two nationally recognized programs: The City’s Camp Small Zero Waste Wood Recycling and Marketing Facility, and its city-wide comprehensive tree inventory. A bachelors degree in forestry is required - or related degrees in plant, natural resource, or environmental sciences – and not less than three years of experience in community forestry. An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered. Salary range is $69,126 to $110,602 annually.
