Equipment Operator 4 - Emergency

Location: Chattanooga, TN
Salary: $28,615.00

This is a 2nd shift position (3:00PM to 11:30PM) on our Emergency Department crew. The basic job description is to respond to road hazards as they are assigned by a Crew Supervisor and from 911 Dispatch. Hazards include rock slides, flooding, dead animals, debris, etc., but the most common and most essential skill is removing fallen trees from the roadway. All applicants must be skilled sawyers, and experienced with storm damage cleanup. 

95% of the time we clear trees from the road using knuckle boom loaders. If you're not experienced with that truck, we can train you, but CDL B is required. 

After a training period, this employee will work solo on two shifts and overlap with a second Emergency Dept employee on three. It's officially advertised as Friday through Tuesday, but there is flexibility on what weekdays are worked. Saturday and Sunday shifts are required.
