Consulting Utility Forester

Location: Plymouth, MA

ACRT has a new opportunity in  Southeastern Massachusetts to join our existing team. We are responsible for identifying hazardous trees within the Electric Distribution ROW, along with other aspects of our client’s overall vegetation management program. ACRT has consistently expanded in the Northeast and needs motivated people to grow with us. If great benefits, career development opportunities, and a safety first company interest you, apply today.

Consulting Utility Foresters serve as a liaison between the utility, its customers and contractors.  Foresters will be expected to evaluate and identify trees posing a hazard to roadside electric utility rights-of-way.  Foresters must be able to effectively communicate with property owners to obtain permission to remove any hazard trees identified.  Successful candidates should be able to identify structural defects and convey to the customer the reason it should be removed.  Foresters are given a take-home company vehicle and will cover a large territory in Southeast MA.  Ability to walk several miles per day, possibly in inclement weather, is a must.  Foresters will also assist in storm recovery coordination.

Our workforce is essential to keeping the power on for millions of Americans who are either working to fight COVID-19 or who are staying home to stay safe. At ACRT Services our top priority is keeping our employees and those around us safe. Our business naturally lends itself to physical distancing; most of our employees work independently and are provided their own company vehicle, allowing them to avoid close contact with others. Safety has always been a core value and through this pandemic is no different. We have put in safety protocols and initiatives following the guidance of the CDC to keep our workers safe.
