Tree Crew Leader

Location: Columbus, OH
Salary: $42k to $55k

Kevin Masters Arborist Services is a full-service tree care company based in Worthington, Ohio; with staff credentials including ISA certified arborist, TRAQ qualification, TCIA CTSP, and ODA licensed commercial applicator. We are hiring for the position of tree crew leader. This position will be full time and year-round employment. 

 

Duties will include:

*Supervision of 2 to 4 other employees while performing production work on residential and commercial properties, both to ensure safe work practices and high-quality work. Duties will include climbing or mobile aerial lift operation to prune or remove larger trees, cabling and bracing of trees, ornamental pruning and occasional ground work.

*Training and coaching of individual employees, developing their skills and a culture of safety.

*Management of the shop such as delegating maintenance chores and providing inventory requests to the general manager.

*Driving company trucks to and from jobs.

*Enforce and follow company policies with the crew.

*Interface with clients at the job site to ensure customer satisfaction, answer questions, handle any on-site requests or changes to the work order.

*Lead and participate in safety meeting and training sessions.

*Attend daily morning managers meeting to discuss operations and initiatives.

Candidate must:

*Be professional in all aspects of tree care and conduct in the workplace.

*Be proficient in pruning and removal of trees with modern climbing and rigging techniques.

*Be ready to work outside all year long in all seasons. (We do call weather days). 

*Have a valid driver’s license with clean record. CDL class B preferred. 

*Have strong leadership and communication abilities, with a positive attitude to lead by example.

*Be on time to work every day. 

*Be able to work a flexible schedule in regard to when the day is completed. General hours worked will be 7 am until between 3:30 to 6 pm.

*Maintain a professional appearance.

*Must have high-school degree or GED.
