Town Arborist

The Town of Davidson is excited to announce the opening of a Town Arborist position.   This is a new position for the town and provides an excellent opportunity for an experienced arborist to join our team.  There will be ample opportunity for growth and professional development in a thriving community! 

The Town Arborist will assist in meeting one of Davidson's Core Values: Citizens must live in a healthy environment, so town government will protect our watersheds, trees, air quality, and other elements of the town's ecology.

A person in this position will work closely with citizens, developers, homeowner groups, elected officials, advisory boards, media, and other government and community agencies in carrying out local tree ordinances, policies, and procedures. In addition, the Town Arborist will be the subject matter expert for all municipal tree efforts and be responsible for community education and outreach as it relates to trees.
