Urban Forestry Consultant/Contract Manager

Location: Eugene, OR
Salary: $25.25 - $31.49 Hourly

Performs technical and complex program development and coordinates functions within the Parks and Open Space Divisions Urban Forestry Section. Major duties include program planning and coordination, daily workload assignment, technical letter writing, field inspections, extensive interpretation of  Urban Forestry codes and contract administration, data collection, data analysis, research, policy documentation, etc.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Experience and Training Guidelines:  Any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the job.  A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:

Experience:
Four years of experience in public works inspection, code enforcement, planning, program coordination, Urban Forestry, Landscape architecture or a related field.

Education:
Associates' degree in Natural Resource Management, Forestry, Horticulture, Landscape Architecture, or a related field.

Intentional Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Certified Arborist, ISA Municipal Specialist and ISA Qualified Tree Risk Assessor or, the ability to obtain within one year from the date of hire.
