Associate Forester (R18-587) 4 openings
POSITION PURPOSE
In this position you will be responsible for managing clearance activities in and around electrical facilities, perform safety and contractor audits to ensure PGE standards and specifications are met, and represent PGE’s forestry department while working with PGE stakeholders to coordinate tree and herbicide work across PGE service territory.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Degree in earth science, horticulture, geology, forestry, natural resources or similar fields, preferred.
- Typically, 2 or more years in utility forestry process including tree trimming, arborist work and landscape work.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with evidence of a safe driving record
- Current valid Oregon State Pesticide Consultant license
- ISA Arborist Certification
- ISA TRAQ and Utility Specialist credential, preferred
- Thorough knowledge of forestry best practices and regulations impacting vegetation management
