    Louisville Gas & Electric Safety

Ken Sheridan, a Caldwell County native, joined Kentucky Utilities in 1983 as a Line Technician. However, he soon moved into several other positions within the company that included Service Manager; Safety Coordinator; District Manager; Manager, Safety and Technical Training; and Manager, Operational and Public Safety. In his current role, Ken is responsible for LG&E and KU's physical security and monitoring systems required by NERC-Mandated Critical Infrastructure Protection Standards and also for the compliance of the companies' fleet with Department of Transportation commercial vehicle regulations. He also directs gas and electric operational safety, polices, and compliance within Energy Delivery, including the Public Safety Response Team, which manages downed wires to protect the public during emergency events. Ken's experience prior to joining LG&E and KU includes working at South Central Bell for four years and teaching science, psychology and sociology for five years in the secondary school system. Ken graduated from Murray State University in 1973 with a Bachelor of Science degree in health and sociology, and he completed 18 hours of postgraduate work in the field of human relations.
