    The Science of Practical Rigging

    The Science of Practical Rigging

Knowledge is key to critical thinking and decision making. Arborist rigging accidents are on the increase!

Ropes, knots and equipment must be chosen specifically for their ability to perform in a given situation.

An arborist / tree worker must be able to think through and make critical decisions on our feet every day!  This requires a solid understanding of rigging equipment safety, rigging system safety, basic rigging forces, physics and terminology.

    Learning Objectives:

    1.     Learn basic principles of safety and productivity with today's rigging equipment, methods and systems.

    2.     Learn how to use safety factors and working load limits pertaining to arborist rigging rigging lines, knots and rigging hardware

    3.     Learn to evaluate forces before the rigging operation

    4.     Increase your critical thinking and decision making skill

    5.     Increase your safety, skill and productivity!
