JOB SUMMARY:
Participates in the planting, maintenance, care, and removal of the City’s trees, shrubs, and urban canopy using an aerial lift and occasional climbing. Assists the General Services Department with winter street and sidewalk operations. Serves as a lead worker supervising a crew of assigned workers; Interacts with citizens, construction companies, and other representatives from other City departments and divisions.
Overtime is a requirement.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Education and Experience:
Three years of progressively responsible experience in Arboriculture or any combination of education and experience which provides the knowledge; skills; and abilities required for the job.
Licenses and Certifications:
New Hampshire CDL B with Air Brake Endorsement; New Hampshire Arborist Association or International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Certified Arborist, or Equivalent or ability to obtain in 6 months
Current New Hampshire Pesticide License (Operational) for ROW, or ability to obtain in 6 months.
HOURS: Full Time, 40 hours per week
STARTING PAY RANGE: $20.51 to $24.96 (top of scale $29.69) hourly DOQ, with a competitive flexible benefits program.
