Committee for the Advancement of Arboriculture, Arboriculture I - Basic Tree Climbing. This 10 day course will guide the students using Best Management Practices in the proper and safe techniques when working with, and in, trees. Basic tree climbing skills will be a combination of classroom and outdoor sessions, with instructors and top climbers for hands on teaching. Includes: Basic Climbing Techniques using modern tree climbing systems, Rope and Knot Use & Proper Applications, Target Pruning, and Safe Work Practices from the ground up. Also included are: First Aid & CPR, Aerial Rescue, Chain Saw Safety, Electrical Hazard awareness, Tree Identification, and General Tree Care. Course dates are every Tuesday and Wednesday starting May 1st & concluding May 30th. Certificates offered for successful completion. On site training available for specific courses. 16 CEU’s available and are applicable towards NJ License Tree Expert training requirements.
