ISA Annual International Conference and Trade Show

All speakers are responsible for making their own travel and housing arrangements for the ISA Annual International Conference in Portland, Oregon.
Follow ALL of the steps below to ensure that your registration, proceedings, housing, and presenter stipend requirements are met in a timely manner.

Step 1: Speaker Confirmation Agreement
(Deadline December 12, 2011)
Click for a copy of the Speaker Agreement. If you have not returned the
signed form, please do so immediately. Complete this form and mail, fax, or scan and e-mail it to:

Step 2: Make Additional Audio/Visual Equipment Requests
(Deadline May 31, 2012)
Click to see a list of provided equipment/materials for Monday–Wednesday Educational Sessions,
Climbers’ Corner, Tree Academy Workshops, and Poster Presenters. Any additional requests can be submitted to
the speakers email address for consideration and potential approval.
Step 3: Complete Your Online Registration
(Deadline May 31, 2012)
SPEAKERS must click here to access the Online Speaker
Registration Page. Registering online ensures that you will receive your complimentary registration and allow you to pay for any additional
activities, workshops, or tours you wish to attend. Click for presenter registration policy.
POSTER PRESENTERS should contact speakers@isa-arbor.com to receive a registration discount code for use on the full-conference
Registration Page; poster presenters should use this code to register and receive a discount of $215 US, the equivalent of a one-day registration
at the ISA member rate.
ONLY the principal speaker or poster presenter is entitled to this registration benefit.
Step 4: Make Housing Reservations
(Deadline July 13, 2012)
In order to obtain the ISA conference group rates, reservations in the official ISA conference hotels must be made through the Travel
Portland Housing Department website.
Rooms are filling up quickly and may sell out before this deadline date, so be sure to make your hotel reservations now.
Step 5: Submit a Contribution to the Conference Proceedings
(Deadline May 15, 2012)
Click for a list of acceptable materials. Email an electronic copy of your submission
to the speakers email address. Presentation titles, abstracts, and speaker biographies
cannot be changed or edited after this May 15 deadline. Presenters must contribute a conference proceedings submission (by this May
15 deadline) and perform their presentation obligation in order to be eligible to receive a stipend.
Step 6: INTERNATIONAL TRAVELERS: Make Sure You Have a Current Passport and Travel Visa (if necessary)
If you do not have a current passport or travel visa to enter the US, you should apply for one immediately. Visit the
US Department of State website for more information on obtaining a travel
visa. A current passport is required in order to obtain the travel visa.
Step 7: Submit a Stipend Request Form
(Deadline September 15, 2012)
Presenters must contribute a conference proceedings submission (by the May 15 deadline) and perform their presentation obligation in
order to receive a stipend.

Step 8 (Optional): Submit a manuscript of your presentation
(Deadline September 15, 2012)
SPEAKERS may submit a manuscript to either Arborist News or Arboriculture & Urban Forestry for an additional $250 US stipend.
