Summary: This presentation describes: four (4) ways to transfer sidewalk maintenance to adjacent homeowners; seven (7) ways to reallocate sidewalk liability caused by city trees to adjacent homeowners and others; four (4) public policy and common sense arguments in favor of shifting liability to adjacent homeowners; and ten (10) ways to enforce adjacent homeowner maintenance of sidewalks.
