Title: Arborist Options to Manage Destructive or Increasing Pest Threats to Trees and Shrubs

Summary: In addition to natural calamities such as fire and flood, several destructive, emerging, or expanding insects and disease agents are causing damage to trees and shrubs. Diagnosis and management challenges for major insect and disease problems in urban environments will be presented, as well as, information involving regulatory concerns, public perception, and the arborist’s role in improving plant health. The topics and information presented will help municipal and commercial arborists manage and maintain our valuable natural resources effectively.
