Title: Tree Worker Safety: It’s a Global Issue

Summary: Tree work on of the highest risk professions and its hazards have no national boundaries. All tree care workers face the same risks, working on large, heavy objects called trees while operating power equipment, often at great heights. The International Society of Arboriculture recently funded a world-wide study of tree worker safety standards and regulations. The study included information on how the standards and regulations of various countries are implemented and how closely they are observed. Information regarding risks and injuries gathered from the survey will also be discussed.
