Presentation Description

Title: The Twenty Questions of Plant Diagnostics

Summary: Plant problem diagnostics are key to proper plant health care management and effective arboricultural treatment. Many a diagnosis has gone wrong because of the failure to properly answer one of 20 questions introduced in this workshop. Environmental, cultural, pest, disease, and chemical injuries are addressed and diagnostic problems, including common misdiagnoses and the problem of diagnostic hubris, are discussed. The only sure-fire rule for plant problem diagnostics: there are no sure-fire rules. Nevertheless, the 20 question process increases your ability to provide the most educated diagnostic answer possible.
