Presentation Description
Title: The Biomechanics of Arborist in an Aerial Position
Summary: For years, the aches and pains of tree care workers have been an excepted reality of the job. There is no doubt that tree work is physically demanding, but for many, this type of work has also become physically debilitating. This two-hour workshop will take a look at preventing arborists from sustaining Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) during such activities as climbing and work positioning. Dr. Amanda Carpenter and Ed Carpenter, both of C.O.R. Ergonomic Solutions, will assist climbers in understanding the body and the demands placed on it as industrial athletes.
Edgar Carpenter, AS, BS, Certified Arborist, CEAS, Arboriculture / Urban Forestry, Milford, MA, United States
