I just bought a beautiful 4' high healthy-looking Norfolk Pine two weeks ago. Now it is starting to get dried out(the pines are not soft anymore) I'm not sure what I am doing wrong?
I was told that I should water the soil thoroughly the first two days since the stores don't water on purpose for easy of transport. So I did. I have watered the soil with approx 2-3 cups of water every 3-4 days since and even purchased a sprayer to mist the needles from day one.
Upon purchase, I transported the tree to a large plastic pot with a large water basin and placed it in the middle of a large room that has good light exposure from two large windows.
I'm not sure what else I can do. Any suggestions?
