A member of my family owns an 80 acre parcel that was part of an old farm. The property has an old apple orchard , a hardwood lot , some wetland and a 15 acre field. The orchard ,woodlot and wetlands are covered with heavy undergrowth. A year ago the property was enrolled into a wildlife habitat improvment program. The program coordinator has offered many suggestions including revival of the apple orchard which has been neglected for approx. 25 years. I have offered assistance during this project but my knowledge of pruning fruit trees for refruitifcation is very limited. Some instruction on this subject would be greatly appreciated. I forgot to mention that we have already cleared the undergrowth from around the fruit tree's. Also some information regarding the subject of pruning after ice and wind damage would be of great value. THANK YOU . Gary Strickland - Battle Creek MI.
