Any 'surgical' procedure you apply to this species will
wreck it. One can take terminal cuttings from this plant
but it is a risky process without some rooting hormones and
alot of time and patience. Since these plants are so commonly
available as indoor plants at Xmas time, I would opt for
replacing yours with a nice, sprightly younger (and shorter)
specimen. Donate yours someplace that can handle the size.
Could be tax deductable!
