"concrete" solution?

I am soliciting input from anyone that has helped to design, or seen designs
of sidewalk construction close to trees. This is an ongoing problem here that I am
trying to give the city some guidance on. What ever the technique it MUST fit into
ADA specifications.
I would really appreciate ideas, examples, or experiences with such situations.
