As long as you have the trees growing in pots right now, what do you have to lose if you plant them?

One word of caution though. To often I get called in to take trees down becasue they have outgrown the space alloted to them. If you find out how large the crown gets you can plant the trees with enough space to allow them to grow to maturity. Find an arboretum or contact your local extension service to find out where there are mature plants for you to see.

You don't want to regret putting a large tree into a small place. Be sure to plan around overhead and underground utilities too. Many huge boulevard trees blewe over here in Minneapolis this summer because of root cutting by sidewalks, curbs, and utilities over the years,

One plan might be to plant all of your trees and then cull ot some as they grow. You need to take a solemn, hard vow to do this so that the less desirable trees aren;t allowed to become problems.

The best time to plant a tree was twenty years ago, the second best is today!
