I figured I'm being set up here. It is a matter of physics. More to the point
it is a question of different forces. I have seen concrete rings ringbark trees
and i have seen trees lift buildning.
Simply if the forces surrounding a root are greater than the force exerted by the
division of cell then ringbarking takes place. If the forces exerted arount the root are
less then the root will grow in thikness and something else will give. This is often soil
but recently with the advent of cheap concrete it is sidewalks and drivways as well
Any other thoughts?
