Thanks for your response. I have used Injectacide B quite a bit. It does control borers in Birch, but have always considered it to be a "rescue" treatment - not something that can be repeated annually. Too much cambium damage. Birch are very stressed in Denver and wound wood production is minimal. The Bayer people have told me that there is borer control with imidacloprid at the high rate, but the work is preliminary and not ready to make any claims. I am skeptical of it due to the way it is taken up in the tree.
