Whist I'm questioning the issue of mulch I might as well start bearing my soul.

Plan facing north north. When transplanting larger trees we are often asked to plant
trees in the same north orrientation to avoid "sunscald". I have a problem often performing
this requirement because of access or design constraints yet I have not yet seen sunburn.

If sunburn were to occur would not the leaves on the shaded side also burn. Is it possible that
this sunburn is the result of moisture stress as much as anything else.

Another that I hear and I can't get my head arround "trees hit by lightening will not burn"
cannot think how the lightening chemically alters would to stop it burning.

Go to it guys

Thanks
