I have noticed the Alleppo pine and It's growth characteristics over time...When very young(up to ten years)
I noticed an excurrent structure...Then I notice Alleppos with twenty to eighty years on them and they have decurrent structures...People that I have talked to that have been around for some time have told me that there Alleppo had started out with an excurrent structure then ended up, with time becoming decurrent. I can agree because here there is'nt one mature Alleppo with a prominant excurrent structure, anywhere...Can this be true with other trees...
