yellow leaves on riverbirches

We planted some of our riverbirches last year, and some this spring. We are in Georgia, without much rain, and are watering them all approximately every 5 to 7 days. They continue to have yellow leaves every so often. Are we watering too much, or not enough? They have shown growth, but the yellow leaves are disturbing. What are we doing or not doing?
