Fig Tree

I have a Brown Turkey Fig Tree which has been growing in
a half barrel for about five years. It is overwintered,
covered, in a garage and has come back beautifully each year.
The problem I have is this: I know the tree is alive, but
no leaves yet. Usually, by the time I unwrap it and take it
out of the garage it is loaded with leaves as well as several
little figs. I did prune the roots last spring but it
followed with an abundant crop of figs. Any thoughts?
