It seems that this stems from a non preventative viewpoint.

The best solution for dealing with soil compaction is to never let it
happen in the first place. Whilst the idea is creative the same
concept could be said of using mulch and soil organisms such as worms
cockroaches etc to decompact.

Still, prevention is better than cure.
