Silver maple trees and MSMA

Recently the product MSMA was sprayed in the adjoining green
belt area of my neighborhood for "dallas grass." Since then,
my silver maple tree has developed yellow leaves with brown
spots. These leaves then turn completed brown, curl up
and drop off. Could the MSMA have caused this to happen to
the tree?

In addition to the tree, three miniature rose bushes
and three shrubs have died. The shrubs' leaves have also
developed yellow leaves with brown spots, curled up, and dropped off?
Could the MSMA have affected them also? Has the
product depleted a nutrient in my lawn that these
plants feed off of?

Can anyone offer any insight to what is happening here?
