roots in sewers

Hello! I am trying to quickly get some information on roots in sewer lines; specifically control, damage, liability.
It is fairly important that this information be pertinent to the northern foothills/prairie climate. I would be very happy for a shove in the general direction (bibliographies, etc.). I can then dig and fill in the blanks at the local university (U. of Alberta).
