First let me ask you what variety of asian pear you have?
Some varieties bloom later and/or longer than others.
Second, have you heard of the orchard mason bee? The scientific
name is Osmia lignaria. These bees fly at lower temperatures
and in worse weather than honeybees. Might be the answer.As far
as hormones go,I don't think that's going to help. A Boron spray
in the spring before bloom would help though.
