It is a small world, indeed. two hours ago I was visiting John Jackson
about pretty well the same topic. We also use Tree Manager for
our street tree inventory. We looked at exporting that data to our GIS
system, but it seemed impractical because of the lack of precision of the
'cell' system used by ACRT. That makes sense since our objective is
to avoid pipes and other infrastucture, which are in our GIS with greater
precision.
However we also have a need to inventory the trees in our parks. We wanted to
see how suitable your .25 meter/pixel data was for that purpose. Obviously we
would like to hear what you have learned so far. We need a graphical inventory
to drive our own OMS system, apart from trees themselves.
(I will try to send this direct via email as well, so I can copy Brian Scott.)
