I'm not sure where you're at, George, but here in the northwest,
we have lots of sapsucker activity, mostly on healthy trees,
with very little damage to the trees. They attack, or use, all
of our native trees, and I've yet to see one that has been
stressed. We get lots of calls about 'machine gunned' trees
though!
