I don't have any reply to your original question regarding
fruit set on Asian Pears. I have seven trees and fruit
production has been good starting the 2nd season.

I am interested in knowing where you are purchasing trees.
I have used both Stark Brothers and Burpee in the past, but
their variety selection is limited.

My best producer, unless there is a late frost (it blooms
early in northern Georgia), is "Seuri". I can no longer
find this variety.

"Hosue" (or "Hosui") is a good producer, and I also have
"Shinseiki" and "Shinko". The later is quite suseptible
to fire blight.

Lately I have added "20th Century" from Stark's, but have
no experience on production

I would be interested in variety sources if you have this
knowlege.
