Tree Preservation Ordinances

I am interested in hearing from arborist who work with stringent
tree preservation ordinances. Here in AUstin we have a pretty good
land development code that is in place and tree protection ordinances.
I often complain to various bodies, including our Urban Forestry Board at the enforcement of the code
The city arborist seems to think they do a good job, and better than any
other cities he is aware of. If that is true I am worried..
So tell me what you work with...how tough is it? Do they require an arborist input?
