We here in TX were the first to use Alamo on oak wilt (Ceratocystis
fagacearum). We orginally used the macro injection from tanks. Results
on oak wilt were fair. The old formulation of Alamo (gold formula) had a problem
with the solvents used. The active ingredient would precipitate out of soulution easily.
Quite a bit of damage was noted at injection sites.

The new formula is still being evaluated on oak wilt. There are
many who are not satisfied with the micro injectors efficacy. The new formula in macro (tank)
injection seems as good as the old.

We do not have sufficient incidence with DED here in TX.

It has come to my attention that Mauget's Fungisol has been released
for use on oak wilt. I would be very interested in hearing peoples experience
on use of Fungisol on DED.

I find that many of the failures of these injected fungicidal treatments are questionable
due to improper or sloppy injection techniques.
