I've bought a "hand" in 1988. It is a neat tool for ascending and descending a two rope system. Of course, I never use it for tree work. I agree with whoever said the split tail system is best for tree climbing. I am going to start another thread on "mechanial ascension devices and see where it goes. Any rope walkers out there?
