Use of cranes

In New Zealand we have been using cranes and helicopters for
many tree jobs but as of yet have no Code of Practice or
even guidelines set down for the training of arborists.

I am about to instruct a couse in the safe use of cranes
and helicopters and would like as much information, technical
and practical that anyone could give me, or where I could
locate such information. I have been climbing(and now teaching)
for ten years and have done many crane jobs and a few
helicopter jobs but I am always interested in anynew
information. Is there a C.O.P. for cranes in the States?
And does anyone know of common accidents with cranes and
trees that I could use for examples?
