Never had a problem? What kind of
weight have you lowered? Try to use
a real number, not just one you've made
up.i.e. 20"dia. Red Oak(green) 10' long, about 1,370.

Further more, I often use a double braid 1/2" rope.
But, if the block diameter(inside) is larger
than 2" it's not the weak link.

Do you understand any of this?
