We used to have 2- 026's they are now kept on my ski-nautique for anchors. The o38 magnum is a little heavy but have used it daily with no problems but routine maint for three years. My small engine mechanic told me that the magnum series that has the number plate on top (top of saw just under handle) riveted on not glued on is a older saw built with better specs or something . The newer ones with the plate glued on do -not hold up as well in his opinion. His shop sells Stihls and regularly goes to training seminars put on by stihl. As far as the muffler coming off the 84 try cleaning the bolts and holes in which they go in with a little carb cleaner then blowing them out completly with compressed air then apply lock tite . Lock tite works excellent but clean both surfaces first. The o20 ,s scream nothing comes close our ground crew uses them for brush .Alot safer wading thru a huge pile or when roping down wood on a roof top and needing to cut it up I prefer to see them use an o20 th
an a bigger saw less cha
nce of injury. I have gone to several pawn shops and told them if a 020 comes in to call me . Picked up three so far ranging from 75 to 225 bucks a little used but work great.
