Stihl 026

We had two 026's once. We found the handle length and the size of the powerhead made the 026 difficult to move around in a tree with.

It's almost the same size of an 044 or an 046 and seems to have less than half of their power. We found that we do not need a saw sized betweened an 09/019 and an 044/046.

We put Stihl hedge trimming atachments on both 026 powerheads and ran them until their cylinders wore out. It did not take many hours. I don't think the engine parts are hardened like the professional Stihl saws are.

We used to use Stihl 09's, but have switched to Stihl 019's. The Stihl 020 blows these two saws away I know, but we pay only $215 for the 019's.

We love our 044's, 046's,064's,066, and our 084.

How much is the 020 going for anyway? I heard it wend down in price.

What's your favorite tree pruning saw?

P.S. Wasn't the 026 part of the Stihl Farm Boss series?
