Scaffolding may be a viable option, maybe even the most viable option... we have used it on several occasions over the years, for actual removal and simply for access for debris removal in awkward locations... and once to assist with the removal of a family of raccoons!
There are a number of requirements that limit urban use of helicopters....
- require a sizable landing for depositing loads...
- require an adjacent fueling area, and fuel source storage (like a tank truck)
- require evacuation of adjacent residences and other buildings
- traffic & pedestrian control
- serious restraints for flying over residences... partilcularly with a load... particularly with an unstable load
I will let you all know what the outcome is... even the response of the clients to our proposal should be interesting!
Hope I don't have to let down this big build-up by losing the project to a lower bidder. (Yes... we informed the client of the pitfalls of low bids... provided them a handout we wrote "How to Select a Contractor"; a full page of references for removals; and personal credentials)... but we will see what we will see!!
Sorry you had to chase me down over here... and for not responding quickly enough for you... occassionally I have to work and visit my family so they don't forget who I am! Besides... I thought you retired?!
