I'm stabbing in the dark a bit here, but in these situations I look for a nearby tree to run a bull rope through, then tie off the top of the takedown, cut it at the ground, and block out the trunk from the bottom up. Since I gather you have no such tree, is ther any chance of running a pulley to the top of a crane, then using it as a crotch to tie off the top?
Assuming the crane would be at some distance, you may need several tag lines to control swing and such, but in theory it just might work. . .
