Gibbs is great but a little bulky you say. Try the Micro Ascender its a little smaller. If you are lucky you can find the Micro with the removable pin, so when you find your self on the big stuff. You can remove your short Buckstrap and put in a longer Life Line. If it is a steel Gibbs you have dont give up on it. I use them for all kinds of work load appl. Like ah , well use your imagination.
