The next step that I referred to is a powered launching device. Using a spud gun or a line gun is included in the next step too. These are both pretty noisy I think.

A couple of years ago I stopped at a local gun shop to check on a dummy launcher used by people who train field dogs to retrieve. The device is basically the same as what is sold as aline gun. The retrieving dummy gun is a lot cheaper though, around $85. My concern is using it in a residential area where someone recognizes the sound as a gun going off and they call the cops. I asked the salesman if it was legal in urban cities but he did not know. When I turned around there was a cop from my city standing there. I asked if it was legal to use and he said yes but advised me to be careful of the noise.

I take back my jab at stihl if he can hit 75 by hand. Most people are not that skilled. For $53 I think the Big Shot is a good value. There is a place for the Big Shot in my tool repertoire.

Stong throws and sure shots!
