My BS is mounted on a telescoping aluminum handle from a pool scimmer net. This allows me to adjust the amount of energy that is used to launch the bag. Last weekend I tied a couple of lines together and let fly straight up! The bag took about ninety feet of line with it. My shoulders are not in good enough shape to do throws like that.
This is another power tool to have in your kit bag to use when it is right. The BS does not have any more "Magical Powers" than a chainsaw when it comes to doing tree work. Just modern, forward looking technology. This advances rope placement another step. Do you, stihl, want to go back to throwing a wand of rope up maybe twenty feet into a low limb? I bet not. We have embraced throwbags, why the attitude about the next step?
I'll see you from my tie in while you are still tossing your rope.
Strong limbs and snug ropes!
