Great observations! (Sorry for the bird)
Many areas have people that spend their
lives nursing little critters. They'll come if you call.
My hubby has brought home squirrels mostly babies, and the
kids get a real kick out of tending them while we take them
over to the wildlife preserve or to the elderly lady who has a
real thing for feeding 15 baby squirrels around the clock.
(It keeps her off the streets)
By the way, my kids also get a kick out of lickin' their
lips after eatin' up some wild boar or venison we have
from time to time. If, however, they're caught mistreating
critters, pets or little sisters a little politically
incorrect swat seems to do the trick. I'd hate to see my
big ol' boys reduced to eating baby squirrels, so I save them
from themselves!
